What is actually worth seeing?

Torrevieja sights without padding.

The seafront, Dique de Levante and town centre are easy to combine on foot. Plan a separate trip to the salt lagoons and check how to get there.

1. Dique de Levante

The long breakwater is one of the city's most distinctive walks. After major renovation, the promenade fully reopened at the end of March 2026. The point is not just a photo at the entrance; the experience is the walk out over the sea and back.

2. Laguna Rosa and the natural park

The pink salt lagoon is Torrevieja's best-known natural image. It is a protected space, not a normal public swimming lake. Use official visitor options and marked routes rather than copying social-media access points.

3. Paseo Juan Aparicio

This seafront promenade combines bathing areas, sculptures and a simple way to see Torrevieja on foot. It works particularly well when you want sea views without planning a separate excursion.

4. Eras de la Sal

Eras de la Sal connects directly with Torrevieja's salt history. A major 2026 transformation project includes a new Museo del Mar y de la Sal and restoration work around historic elements.

5. Vía Verde

The roughly seven-kilometre greenway follows a former railway route and gives you an easy outdoor option linked to the city's salt and rail history.

Practical tips

Tips for your visit

  1. Group nearby sights instead of crossing the city for isolated photo stops.
  2. Keep one part of the day deliberately open for the seafront, a meal or whatever is happening locally.
  3. Use the map first, then decide whether walking, bus or a separate trip makes sense.

Things to keep in mind

  • Leave time for the seafront and breaks between sights.
  • Check the date before relying on older advice about transport, parking or new attractions.
